Green watches are an increasing trend within the luxury watch market this year. If you observe our blog then you will have already come across the green HydroConquest that Longines have just published. Raymond Weil are following suit with this trend as they show their new green freelancer. The travel of this invention began in 2017 when Raymond Weil developed an exclusive in house movement that was made by producer, Sellita. The motion was called Calibre RW1212 that was inspired by the brand’s global headquarters in Grand-Lancey. The motion represents over 40 decades of Swiss watch making tradition and experience, consequently, the movement was placed in Raymond Weil’s bestselling Freelancer collection. Since the release of this new motion, Raymond Weil are crafting models for its Freelancer collection which includes the latest release that comes in a handsome shade of green. The model was created using the colour palette for 2020 in mind! The most recent addition to the Freelancer collection includes a 42mm dial in stainless steel that’s framed by a green satin chapter ring with silver indices. The centre of the dial includes a visible equilibrium wheel situated above the 6 o’lock position. The open aperture design, which takes centre stage, highlights the exclusive motion created by Raymond Weil with automatic winding movement. The penetration to the slender two-spoke equilibrium bridge and escape wheel has been encased in scratch resistant sapphire glass that has been medicated with anti-glare on either side of this case. This handsome timepiece is completed with a screw down crown which shows of this Raymond Weil emblem. The mixture of lace detailing and highly polished stainless steel is eye-catch, ideal for watch collections and Raymond Weil fans alike.
